This is a great article written by a man I had never heard of before: Dr. David Schrock. After reading this article, I became an instant fan of him. He acknowledges Calvinism vs. Arminianism as a secondary theological issue and prioritizes the Bible over these attempts to summarize Biblical truths into man-made doctrines (Acts 17:11, 2 Tim 3:16-17, Mark 7:6-13). Some of these doctrines may be Biblical and others may not be and the ones that are not should be discarded in favor of God's Word being interpreted properly with humility. Dr. Schrock eloquently and brilliantly explains the wisdom he has gleaned from his experience being ostracized from an Arminian church for his Calvinist views and yet, in true Biblical fashion, gives all the glory rightfully to God (1 Corinthians 10:31).
